Custom Home

This project began with the purchase of a property that included a permitted modern farmhouse plan set approved by the City of Denver. The lot had been demoed, and an existing oversized garage remained on site in need of improvement. Harden Custom Homes collaborated with the City to revise the approved plans—updating the window schedule to increase both the quantity and size of windows, enlarging the front porch, and refining key interior layouts.

The result is a more modern, design-forward home that stands apart from the typical modern farmhouse aesthetic. Throughout construction, the home was upgraded with high-performance and premium materials including ZIP R-6 sheathing with exterior insulation, spray foam insulation, Alpen triple-pane windows, a 50-year shingle roof with TPO where required, James Hardie siding, TruStile doors, Baldwin hardware, and cabinetry by Harlan Jasper.
